Terri Albert, The Chicago Organizer, took the overwhelm out of a basement which kept this room virtually unusable!
Extra bedroom became junk room. Process of organizing is to review each and every item to determine if it should be donated, kept in that space, or moved to a space where it can be accessed easier. Now this room can be used for guests!
Basement shelves got decluttered and items sorted by category; contained in clear or green containers; and labeled.
This client’s home office had gotten out of control. Call The Chicago Organizer to organize your paper overload, create a filing system and clear up your messy spaces.
Front hall closet door couldn’t open all the way with all the stuff behind the door and on the floor. Solution to move in two bookshelves and use the shelves for labeled plastic tubs containing birthday party gifts, stationary, light bulbs, power cords, memorabilia (with space available for new items coming into the household!)
Playroom closet just wasn’t working. The games got moved to the basement; art project kits put on the shelves; and a nifty gift wrapping cart purchased from The Container Store for Mom to use. The plastic drawers contain the kids' art projects sorted by school year.
Bathroom organizing. Similar sorting and labeling can be done in kids' playrooms, kitchens, linen closets, bedrooms, garages, etc. Call for help when you're overwhelmed!
